Sherlock Holmes First Publication: 1887 Author: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Story: Written in the form of several short stories and novels that cover a time period from 1880 to 1914. They tell the story of London’s greatest consulting detective as he battles deadly foes and solves cases with amazing intelligence. For the sake of this roleplay, we will be covering the early years of Mr. Holmes and Dr. Watson’s detective career.

Sherlock Holmes Play-by: Robert Downey Jr. A consulting detective whose residence remains on 221B Baker Street. With a remarkable intelligence and amazing deductive skills combined with his high amount of energy, it is very hard to outwit him (only two men and one woman “THE woman”, have ever outsmarted him). At the moment, his main concern is finding his nemesis Professor Moriarty and putting him behind bars once and for all.
Doctor John Watson Play-by: Jude Law Dr. Watson remains the closest friend and confidant of one Sherlock Holmes. At the moment, he is engaged to be married to Mary Morstan, and is in the process of moving out of Baker Street. However, though his residence is elsewhere in London, it is clear that he will still be assisting Holmes on his cases.
Professor James Moriarty Play-by: Jared Harris Called the Napoleon of Crime. Professor Moriarty remains one of Holmes’ most evil and dangerous adversaries. While Holmes intends to put him behind bars, Moriarty has other more devious plans for the great detective.
Mycroft Holmes Play-by: Stephen Fry Older brother of Sherlock Holmes, Mycroft is actually more intelligent that his younger brother. However, he lacks the cunning and energy of Sherlock. Instead of detective work, Mycroft opted to become a government official.
Irene Adler Play-by: Rachel McAdams The Woman. One of the only people in the world who has outwitted the great Sherlock Holmes. An ex-singer and divorce’ (of several husbands), Adler is also a world-class thief who has remained undetected by the governments of the world.
Mary Morstan Play-by: Kelly Reilly Fiancé of Dr. Watson, Mary Morstan is a governess and an ex-client of Mr. Holmes. She and Watson are to be married in the spring, and to move into their new residence in the following summer.
